Take Action Alert and Tampa, St Pete Rallies Update

Thanks: Pride Tampa Bay

Hello My Friends

Our local "Shame on 2 Rallies: in Tampa, St Petersburg and around the country were a huge success, Between Tampa and St Pete's rallies alone, over 600 people participated. The news media coverage we received was nothing less than fantastic, Every local TV news station covered the rallies, we were the second lead news story on all of them, airing at 6 and 11 PM broadcasts, Bay News 9 aired it about two dozens times during the day. The Tampa Tribune and St Petersburg Times newspaper ran news pieces, as did our friends at WMNF Radio 88.5. This nationwide day of action gave us an opportunity to come together as a community and is just the beginning. Thanks to each of you who organized, attended a rally/protest in you hometown. We will continue to hold local events and will ask you once again to help us spread the word when our next action is organized.

I'm in the process of creating a Shame On 2 Rally section on Pride Tampa Bay's website. Posted material will include local and national news articles, photos, links to hundreds of more online photo galleries and videos.
The link is http://pridetb.homestead.com/jti.html.
Check it out in a few days, it should have be completed by this week-end.

Our voices were heard by voters in Florida and across the country. Now, our next step is to have President-Elect Barack Obama hear them as well. Below is a take action alert from Join the Impact. Please take a moment and send our new President a postcard asking his for his help to repeal D.O.M.A..
