Witness: Pa. teen threatened 'civil war' in beating case (PA hate crime trial)
Police Officers Testify in Hate Crime Trial - The defense has taken over at a federal hate crime trial in Scranton.
Two men from Shenandoah, Brandon Piekarsky and Derrick Donchak, are accused of beating an illegal immigrant in 2008 simply because he was Hispanic.
The prosecution rested its case at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday but not before calling some Shenandoah police officers to the stand to talk about an alleged cover-up.
Piekarsky and Donchak are accused of beating Luis Ramirez in Shenandoah on July, 12 2008 because Ramirez was Hispanic.
Ramirez died a few days after the beating.....
