Prosecution argues beating was team effort in closing statement (PA hate crime trial)

[Senior U.S. District Judge A. Richard Caputo recessed the case for about 45 minutes to prepare his final charge, which will follow closing statements by William A. Fetterhoff, Harrisburg, Donchak's lawyer, James A. Swetz, Stroudsburg, Piekarsky's lawyer, and prosecutors. The all-white jury of six men and six women will begin deliberations following the charge.

"There will be no more testimony and no more evidence," Caputo told the jury after the defense rested and prosecutors did not offer any rebuttal evidence.

Donchak, 20, of Shenandoah, and Piekarsky, 18, of Shenandoah Heights, presented only one witness on Wednesday, the seventh day of the trial.]
