Community Prepares for Murder Trial - WNEP
Jury selection begins Wednesday in the trial for two teens charged in connection with the beating death of an illegal immigrant in Shenandoah last year.

People gathered Tuesday in downtown Shenandoah knowing that an important trial will again focus national attention on their community. The accusations are that three teenagers killed a Hispanic man.

"The trial should have been on it's way a long time ago. It's finally going to happen. Let it happen and take it's course," said Fermin Bermego.

Brandon Piekarsky and Derrick Donchak are accused in connection with the beating death of illegal immigrant, Luis Ramirez last year.

"Even if he was illegal he was a human being and just like the rest of us," said Chris Yemm.

A third teen, Colin Walsh had third-degree murder charges against him dropped. Sources said he is a potential witness against his friends....
