Teenagers, senior citizens and others called for acceptance of gays at a community forum in Bay Shore on Friday as the state's commissioner of human rights decried recent vandalism at the Long Island Gay and Lesbian Youth Center.
"When somebody is attacked because of their race, religion or sexual orientation, we're all attacked," said commissioner Galen Kirkland.
He and others spoke out against the vandals who broke a glass door and smashed a van at the center last weekend...
